This is a post from the wordpress blackberry application. I’ve tried to insert an image, but it isn’t clear whether it’s made it’s way into the post.
A man balancing a tent
EDIT: This didn’t work, as the photo was too large when posted initially and I had to edit it after. There’s a work around for the moment, described here;
After getting in the car at 4.30 in Banbury, a quick stop off to pick up the big C in Brum, I arrived in Leeds just over 3 hours later. Not too bad, but too late to write anything, draw anything, or even think. This keeps up my giving up not writing on here though.
Had cause to increase the maximum upload size on WSS today. It’s done through Central Administration > Application Management > Web Application General Settings. Dependent on your network, you might need to increase the Connection timeout in IIS (default is 120 secs). Absolutely enthralling, I know, but I have to write something, it may as well be useful to somebody, somewhere…
Here is a link about climate change, that has links to interesting stuff in it.
I’m looking forward to listening to this tonight. The first episode was fantastic, and filled me with all sorts of longings and nostalgia. Richard Hawley has such a listenable voice, so it may just have been the yorkshire accent, but I like to think it might be something a little more mystical.
Just keeping on with the lent thing. This will be on the wall when I move in a couple of weeks. After it’s been tidied up little. (The picture, not the house)
More time spent with sharepoint today, trying to get some webparts using UpdatePanel.
…but lent doesn’t officially start until tomorrow.
On the ipod…
Today was spent messing with a couple of sharepoint servers, updating them to .NET 3.5 SP1 and enabling AJAX and LINQ. Thrilling stuff. Help from Mike Amerlaan.
Having my share of pancakes too. I was a massive tosser, as evidented here;
It’s past a one year anniversary of my last post. It’s the beginning of lent next week, and I’m going to give up not publishing something on the blog every day. I’ll get into practice now. This is on the ipod right now. Maybe that’s a starting point. I post a link to what I’m listening to whilst posting.
Gordon Lightfoot. You might know him from trigger happy tv, but for some reason reminds me of my Granddad. Him and Jim Reeves, Bing Crosby, and more than anyone, Nat King Cole. Definite easy listening.
Interesting programme on the bbc tonight – The Virtual Revolution – I’ve missed most of the series, but it looks like the sort of programme that tries to open the eyes of the general public to the real cost of the internet. Some people might be bothered by it, others might think about it for a minute or two, before moving on to something less boring instead. It’s a warning about all the free information we are all giving away, every time we search, post, download etc. It’s worth thinking about.
