I’ve fallen foul on a number of occasions in the past. I’ve put off updating when a new release has arrived, then when I’ve got round to doing it on m various development sites, a few days later along comes another release. I’ve probably been unlucky that those times it’s been outside the release schedule, but it doesn’t feel that way. Having installed the latest version on a subdomain here, I think this time it’s worth the effort.

I’m going to get round to it this week, but will first have to put my hands on the things I lost when the laptop died. First off SQLyog, to back up my databases. Then all the cpanel login information…will I get this done before 2.8 on March 9th?

Whilst stumbling around the internet, and looking for creative sites and blogs in Birmingham, I came across (after more investigation) what appears to be a well respected company/individual that looks to be using less than kosher SEO tactics. I’m pretty nosy when it comes to websites, and if I find something of interest, I tend to have a good look at the source and CSS. I noticed that there were around 50 or so spurious hyperlinks in a hidden div at the foot of the page, linking to pages selling various well known impotence remedies. I’ve dropped them an email, as I’m curious to learn whether it’s a deliberate tactic, or they’re unaware that they’ve been hacked, which seems unlikely.
